NCMF Master of Science in Recording Arts Degree emphasis in Media Forensics
Program Overview
The National Center for Media Forensics offers a Master’s of Science in Recording Arts emphasis in Media Forensics (MSRA-MF) degree program. This program is competitive and technically-based, steeping students in an academically rich environment where hands-on exploration is guided by meaningful interaction between student and instructor. The coursework prepares students for research, teaching, or forensic practice in the investigative application of scientific methods aiding the criminal and civil justice systems with regards to audio, video, and computer evidence. The culmination of students’ activity will be a thesis project relating to an area of interest in which the student will have concentrated their research.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the MSRA-MF program is contingent upon:
- Formal documentation of an earned Bachelor’s of Science degree in a related field. (International students must document an equivalent.) Undergraduate degrees from other disciplines will be considered with proper support from application components.
- Successful completion of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test with a score of 400 or higher.
- For international students, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (paper-based) or 173 (computer-based) or higher. Please contact the Office of International Education for more information.
